EDUARDO APARECIDO GOES 3-FOR-3 TO WIN THE AK-CHIN INVITATIONAL

In front of a record sold-out arena Eduardo Aparecido(Gouvelandia, Brazil) won The 25th PBR: Unleash The Beast, Ak-Chin Invitational, presented by Cooper Tires, at Gila River Arena in Glendale on Saturday night.
Aparecido went 3-for-3 over the two-day event and won with a 90.75-point ride on Stunt Man Ray (Broken Arrow Bucking Bulls) in the championship round. The Brazilian cowboy earned 590 world points in the victory, moving him from No. 8 to No. 5 in the world standings. He collected a paycheck of $38,700.
Aparecido is now 269.17 points behind world leader Ramon de Lima atop a very tight world standings.
2017 Rookie of the Year Jose Vitor Leme (Ribas do Rio Pardo, Brazil) finished second with a 3-for-3 performance, including an 87-point ride on More Big Bucks (Dakota Rodeo/ Chad Berger/ Clay Struve/ Staci Wilks/ N Bar Ranch) in the championship round. The No. 7 rider in the world standings earned 410 world points and $17,780.
Nathan Burtenshaw (Coonamble, Australia), who entered the weekend at No. 36 in the world standings, secured his best finish of the year, by going 3-for-3 for a third-place finish in Gila River Arena. Burtenshaw covered a rank Nailed (Broken Arrow Bucking Bulls) in Saturday’s championship round for 89 points. He earned 270 points toward the world standings along with $12,100. Burtenshaw improved to No. 24 in the world standings.
After an impressive weekend, Dakota Buttar (Kindersley, Canada) went 2-for-3 to finish in fourth place. After being bucked off his Round 2 bull, he went on to cover Hangman (Owens/Wyatt) for 89.25 points in the championship round. He climbs from No. 23 in the world to No. 18. Buttar picked up 225 world points and a $12,580 paycheck.
Rounding out the Top 5 was Kaique Pacheco (Itatiba, Brazil), who rode Gambini (Dakota Rodeo/Julie Rosen/Clay Struve/Chad Berger) for 79.75 points during the final round, taking home 175 world points and $6,350.
The YETI “Built for the Wild” Bull of the Event was two-time World Champion Bull SweetPro’s Bruiser (D&H Cattle Co/Buck Cattle Co.), who bucked off Ryan Dirteater (Hulbert, Oklahoma) in Friday night’s 15/15 Bucking Battle after 6.67 seconds, earning a massive bull score of 47.5.  
The Top 35 bull riders in the world will now head to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, for the First PREMIER Bank PREMIER Bankcard Invitational at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center April 6-8.
