The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Tuesday that they have cut ties with international running back Nic Grigsby.
Grigsby has spent the first three weeks of the CFL season on the injured list after joining the Ticats midway through 2014. The Tiger-Cats already have tailback CJ Gable on their roster and Ray Holley who has been starting in the backfield as the former gets healthy.
The Arizona product jumped out to an early lead in League rushing last season as the starting tailback for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, generating 744 yards and 8 touchdowns on 162 carries. A reported dispute between he and Winnipeg management led to his dismissal and he was quickly signed by Hamilton after an injury sidelined Gable for the year.
He had 146 yards and one touchdown on 30 carries with Hamilton in 2014.
The Tiger-Cats also announced the addition of DB Cleshawn Page to their practice roster.
