Lester looks to rebound in second Cubs start vs. Reds

The Reds will commence the second week of the season with their first road trip to play the Cubs, who are returning to Wrigley Field after a three-game road trip in Colorado. The series opener on Monday, which starts at 8:05 p.m. ET/7:05 p.m. CT, features Cubs ace Jon Lester in his second start while Mike Leake gets the ball a second time for Cincinnati.
Things to know about this game:
• The Reds have claimed the last five season series against the Cubs, including an 11-8 record in 2014. Cincinnati is 37-17 vs. Chicago in games over the last three seasons.
• Catcher Devin Mesoraco and left fielder Marlon Byrd, who were both rested on Sunday vs. the Cardinals, should be back in the Reds' lineup on Monday.
• Lester has never faced the Reds before, but has limited histories against Byrd (2-for-14), Brayan Pena (7-for-18) and Brennan Boesch (3-for-13).
• For his first start on Opening Night April 5, Lester was on a pitch count. He is expected to be allowed to go deeper on Monday.
