Enroth, Sabres shut out Hurricanes

Jhonas Enroth made 35 saves, including 17 in the third period, and the Buffalo Sabres shut out the Carolina Hurricanes 2-0 at First Niagara Center on Tuesday.

Drew Stafford and Tyler Ennis scored 6:16 apart in the second period and assisted on each other's goals. Matt Moulson had two assists.

Hurricanes center Jordan Staal sustained a lower-body injury in the third period when he took a hit from Sabres defenseman Josh Gorges. Staal did not return to the game and was on crutches afterward.

Anton Khudobin stopped all nine shots he faced for Carolina. Drew MacIntyre made 10 saves
